1. The laptop model no 2269-27 Q sno EB09649504 purchased from Universal computers and system on the 31st of December vide invoice no UCS/MAL/00059/08-09.
2. The problem with the laptop was first detected in the month of June end regarding non functioning of the touch pad, cursor skipping to the top of the page while typing letters, and the web cam not working, and junk characters.
3. The laptop was sent for repairs to the service centre located at Hakimpara on the 23rd of June who kept the laptop for 8 days. In the service report it was mentioned that the driver was reinstalled and the mother board was replaced and the laptop is functioning well.
4. But the same problem cropped up again and the laptop was sent to the service centre on 30th July which was again kept for 9 days. therein the service centre again said that they have fixed the problem and the driver and software has been recovered.
5. In the meantime various case IDs were logged on the toll free number of lenovo customer care case ID no L96N00B, L97U00KE & L97U00MN logged with toll free number 1800113324 on 23rd June, 30th of July.and email dated 3rd of August case ID no 5061385. The laptop was again finally sent for repairs on 15.09.2009 the keypad was reassembled and given to us. Now the laptop continues to give problems.
6. we were told that the for replacement of laptop the intimation should be given to lencare toll free no 1800115522 or to the website [email protected] accordingly the case ID was logged at the toll free number Case ID no for replacement of laptop L97U00MN.
7. On contacting Lenovo care India, reference Lencare ID 5064154 we were informed over phone that as per Lenovo policy if you have any hardware failure under warranty, we will support you services and failed part will be replaced with good one. Replacement of whole machine can’t be considered.
8. Our only contention is that on our first visit the part was changed then why the same was not changed when the laptop was sent for repairs on subsequent visits on 23rd June, 30th July, 15th of September.
9. We have faced tremendous harassment and loss to our business as the same malfunctioned at important business meetings
10. With all the efforts of rectifying the problem failed the service engineer from other lenovo service centre Mr Priyabrata Mukherjee visited our office on 14th October to check the Laptop and he found that the problem with the touchpad continues.
