I am a practising advocate at Bangalore, Karnataka. I had purchased 29" inches LG colour television, Ultra Slim by paying a sum of Rs.15, 490/- from the reliance digital, at Cunningham road, Bangalore and took delivery of the said product from the godown and the officials of the said reliance digital told that very next day the employee of the LG company wold come and show the demo by opening the box. i waited till the 1st November there was not even a whisper from the LG employees. then i called upn the customer care and they took the complaint and gave the complaint No: as S8CB0104735 and told that within a day they would allot a person so as to give a demo. But even 4th of November no body came, then once again i called upon the customer care and i was told that one Hari Nair has been assigned this job and he also gave me the number of Hari Nair and told myself to call him and his number is 9986079374. Having no other go, i called up Hari Nair, he asked my residence and he told that he cannot come to my place for the best reasons known to him and he told me contact one Mr. Sadique, who claims to be manager and gave his number as 9986506054 and he also told me only to contact him. Having no other go i called upon sadique and gave the complaint number. very surprisingly he told that they are visiting the rural places only once in a week and hence he told that he would come in an week end. i was surprised to hear this. What i have purchased a TV to keep idle right from 29th of October. Is'nt it the duty of the company to see to it that they would give demo the very next day and here are the employees who when called upon by the customers, themselves give instructions to call upon other employees, the said act is nothing is but a begging, the employees of the company to come and give a demo and the attitudes of the said employees shows that they are taking such matters very casually. it should been that customers buy the products for enjoying the products, but here is a case that the consumer has kept the product idle, begging the employees to come and give demo and they also told that for getting installed and for giving a demo every consumer should lodge a complaint to the company. i state taht i have suffered a lot of mental agony by calling upon the customer care of the company and for which if they did not respond as early as possible within a day or two i don't hesitate to approach a court of law seeking for compensation against the company.
