This is to inform you that I have purchased a LG DVD player (Model No. LPC-D1000A) from Nikky Electronics, M V Phase III on 27/8/05 and the same have been working smoothly.

On 30th March when I was watching a movie through DVD disk the disk got struck and a message displayed “disk error”. I contacted your customer care and they have given me the address and phone nos. of LG Service Center, Patparganj Indl. Area, Delhi and I went there and gave the system for checking. After checking they informed me that the lenses of the system got damaged and is to be replaced. They have replaced the CDM and on 6/4/08 I got the system repaired and the service engineer has put a CD in the system and shown me the picture there itself in the service center. They have charged Rs. 1752/- including service charges also. After that I have seen a movie at my home on 6th April and this is the only movie I have seen after I get it repaired and I never tried to put any CD or DVD in the system.

On 22nd June 08 I put an audio CD in the system to listen the music but unfortunately, the display card shows the disk error message. I changed the CD and put another one, again the same message displayed. I tried all my audio CDs in the system but nothing happened. So I contacted service center and they advised me to bring the system in the service center. I went there along with the system for checking. Engineer put a DVD in the system and shows that it is working. Then I informed that I was unable to listen the song through Audio CD which was with me. To my utter surprise the service engineer informed me that the MPG card of the system is not working that is why I am unable to listen the song and the card is to be replaced. And the replacing charge of the same is Rs. - .

Now I failed to understand how it happened neither I put an audio CD in the system nor I listened a song after I get it repaired. I have done only a mistake that I did not put an audio CD in the system and checked whether it is working or not, when I got it repaired. Since an ordinary customer does not know all the functions of the system, the engineer should have checked both the DVD and audio CD system properly and shown to the customer. Instead of that he has only shown the DVD functioning of the system.

I try to explain the situation which I experienced with the system then the engineer said that nothing will happen with these explanation and arguments.

Since I have already spent near about Rs. 9000/- for this system, how it possible to spend Rs. - extra within 2 months time. I feel better than this, to purchase a new CD player worth about -

In view of the above circumstances, kindly look into the matter and do the needful for get it repaired the same in free of cost.
