I purchased 29"HT from Ranchi, Jharkhand in the year 2003. Last year I executed Annual Maintence Contract which is due to expire this month.
The complain of TV not starting took place some four months back. The local service Engineer Mr Amjad
tried to fix it four times but it didnot last more than a day or two. Finally, he took the set to his workshop and after one month returned it. When we started viewing it after say two to three hours later the same problem persisted. The same thing was communicated to the Engineer and since then he has stopped coming or communicating with us. I think he is waiting for the maintence period to expire so that he can ask for complete replacement of certain component and charge for it.
If such is the tendency then how long the reputation will be there. This is my third ONIDA TV and I am very much disappoited with local workshop competence in attending to such complains.
You are requested to instruct the local people to rectify the defect without any extra cost, otherwise why anyone shall opt for AMC.
