Passenger name changed automatically and ticket being booked on the wrong name

Hello Sir/Madam,

On the 3rd of July I booked a ticket from makemytrip web site i.e. www.makemytrip.com. I used my login ID to book a friends ticket which is allowed to my knowledge. I entered the passengers name and proceeded to enter the address. But, the passenger name got changed to the original ID name which i did not notice as i scrolled down the page. I booked the ticket. when i printed the ticket i found out that the ticket was booked with the wrong name.

I called makemytrip.com and they told me that i have to cancel the ticket. I asked for a name change by they told me it is not possible so, they canceled the ticket.

Ticket was booked at the name of Mr. Cafe Xtreme.

There was no confirmation page to check the detail of my booking before making the payment. I was completely unaware of what booking i was making after filling all the necessary details.
