Sub: Transaction Dispute / Fraud Transaction

Ref: Credit Card No. 5415 xxxx xxxx 1548

Dear Manager,

With reference to Credit Card Statement dated 17/Oct., this is to bring to your notice that my credit card account has been debited a sum of Rs 2255.55 on 08/Oct to Bharti Cellular Ltd.

I raised a complaint and informed the bank about this unauthorized transaction and had sent a duly filled form. But I received the letter from bank’s side saying that the transaction was done on internet and advised me to raise the issue with the site/merchant directly. As per merchant, it is not possible for them to find out the detail of any transaction until and unless they are provided with the account/mobile number (for which the payment is done). Secondly, the card number printed on the reply was not my card number.

This is the fact that it is totally a fraud transaction being dumped on me and, therefore, I am not going to pay for this fraud transaction at all. It’s not about Rs 2255.55but it is about the fraud which is not acceptable.

So you are requested to please send a revised statement with reversal of the above-mentioned amount along with the reversal of financial charges, late fees or any other charges levied due to this transaction and please arrange to replace the card plastic immediately.

As far as my own expenses are concerned, I am going to make the full payment towards them immediately.

Kindly look into the matter at the earliest and revert back.

Yours Sincerely,

KULJINDER SINGH
