Dear sir,
I, Dr. G.Venkatesh, was employed as Health Science Associate (HSA) with MSD (Merck, Sharpe and Dhome) Pharmaceuticals India Pvt. Ltd. With employee Id 42500548 during the period between June and February. I resigned to my job owing to pressure from a few people in the higher management who retaliated against me for raising concerns against unethical marketing of drugs.
It has been 20 months since i resigned from my job and i am still waiting foq the various payments which i need to receive as a part of my full and final settlement. When i asked initially for the cause, I was told that my bills were not received by the office and i was asked to send the duplicates. As asked by them, i furnished all scanned copies of the bills. On one fine day, i got a F&F stating that i owe the company a sum of 1.10 lakhs and that if i don't pay the amount in 1 week time, a legal action will be taken against me. I found that the whole statement is wrong and hence i reported the same back to the company.
However, i never recieved any response thereafter. I tried and communicated with the Global ethics and complance people without any succes. Around two months back, i've sent a series of e-mails mentioning tha i will be forced to take legal action if my matter is not settled imediately. Then i was contacted by the Chief Compliance Officer (India), and i was assured that my matter will be looked after and they willl try to close the matter in a weeks time. A week after, i had a teleconference with the HR Director of MSD Pharma and they asked me for a time of 2 more days. I also recieved a mail mentioning that a new F&F settlement will be made and my payments will be done. However, in the same mail, i was told that i am not eligible or the bonus and performance incentive. As i felt that i was a regular employee at he time of working with MSD and since i got lots of prrof for showing how my performance was during that period, i mailed back the asking for the performance incentive as well as other reimbursements which i need to receive to a tune of 58, 000 rupees.
At that moment another person from US compliance department came into the loop and i waited for the action from his part. I felt no difference in the attitude of Indian officials as well as those of US in the compliance department.
Through this complaint i want to inform the officials of MSD Pharmaceuticals India Pvt. Ltd. that i got fed up and disgusted with the working style of the compliance authorities and that i care the least as to how the company works because i am no more an employee of MSD India. Al that i want is to get the money i've spent from my pocket and which i've earned.
It has been more than 2 months since the new HR director informed me that my settlement will be made in 2 days. I am herewith mentioning the bank count details of mine and i want the following payments to be made without any further delay like negotiations in a beurocratic manner and bringing new officials into the isue and thereby buying some more time. The Chief Compliance Officer as well as the Global Compliance officer were informed about these isues as early as in April and it is a failure on part of them to have delayed the matter.
I am right now in the middle of a serious financial crisis amd have no other option than to commit suicicde if i don't recieve my payments. I want to know why the delay was made and i want the MSD people to release my payments to my bank account immediately.
My bank A/c number is 000401661064 and this is the same accoount in which my salary was credited when i was in MSD.
