This is with reference to the subject mentioned above.
I had bought a new Nokia (Black) 2505-CDMA (ESN : 01113213515) handset on 01-10 from one of the reliance Stores. Was shocked to notice that, there is a serious problem of its flash light going on and on for no reason and eventhough if the mobile is on ring and vibrator mode it does not give any ring or vibrator does not get activated during recieveing a call.
Noticing this problem with in 3-4 days of purchase, I went to Nokia Care as adviced by a Reliance representative . 6th Oct I lodged a service request for the same. Nokia Care did not respond to the seriousness expected. They took their own sweet time to get back saying CDMA Phones cannot be serviced in Bangalore. It has to be sent to chennai and so this will take a minimum of 15 working days. As assured I followed up for the same on regular calls and approached the service representative. I learnt that the phone was still on the same mode which means It was not even touched during the time it was left for servicing. Again I was assured I will be repaired with in a week's time and I was assured of it on 7-11 . On the mentioned date I approached them (Nokia Care) again just to learn that they have finally decided to swap the handset. I assumed I will be given with the new handset. As indicated by them I approached on 22-11 just to learn that they have some other handset Nokia 2505 (Red) which is a used piece.
I clearly denied the same and Nokia Care has given in writing that they are not able to replace with the new handset.
Nokia, Please be aware that I have gone in for a Nokia handset realising they are a good technology and reliable company. This episode has really shocked me and I am surely not confident of dealing with this company at any point of time. It there is no service centre in Bangalore, then why the handset is sold in Bangalore. Imagine if the new box piece has a problem (with in 3 days) which is unrepairable. I will definetely not associate with Nokia for any future purchases.
It is my humble request to replace the handset with a brand new piece as I believe I had a Box piece in my first purchase and restore my confidence in your Brand.
I would appreciate a prompt and mature response.
