I have purchased a Nokia 5800 Express Music on a fateful day of 2nd May' 2009 from Mobile Town Shop, Jamnagar, Gujarat. The handset cost me Rs 19, 000 which is a part of my hard earned salaried money. Within 1 month of the Purchase, I started getting disturbance in all the incoming & outgoing calls to an extent that the voice during conversation become inaudible.
I have submitted the handset to Jamnagar Nokia Care Centre (Ashok Electronics) for repair & they returned it back after a week. For 2 weeks it worked just fine but after that again the same problem re-occurs. This time I have requested them to send the handset to their central service center at New Delhi. I got the handset back after 15 days & it worked just fine for another 1 week & the trouble started again. The Jamnagar Nokia Care Centre fellows were clueless about the problem & they have send it again to New Delhi. I have called upon Nokia Customer Care & requested them to replace the handset if the same is not repairable on which I got a firm reply that "Nokia doesn't have a replacement policy". I got my handset back after another 15 days & as I put my SIM card for testing the same disturbing noise starts appearing.
I have not accepted the handset & returned it back to Nokia Care Centre. They have again send it to New Delhi for repair. This whole episode has given me an immense mental trauma & loss at my work place. I expect NOKIA to replace my handset and that would only help me in regaining the lost faith in the company & it's products.
