Inordinate delay in repairing of Nokia 3500 Classic

Sir,

I bought a Nokia handset 3500 Classic from a Nokia Mobile retailer M/s Compteck, Laitumkhrah Road, Shillong- 793004 vide Cash Memo 2605 dated 25.10.08 at a cost of Rs.5550/. The set developed some technical problems for whcih I have handed over the set to Nokia Care viz M/s communique, Ground floor, GS Road, Police bazar, Shillong on 13.01.2009. While handing over the set for repairing to the Nokia Care, Shillong I was informed by the Service Engineer that they are unable to repair the set here but they will send it to their Guwahati Office for repairing as the fault is stated to be of L-3 vide their job sheet No. 165343506/090113/13 dated 13.01.2009. The target date of delivery of the set given in the Job sheet was 13.01.2009. I have approached the authority oft the Nokia care after 13.01.2009 on several occasions only to be informed that I should come after a week or so without any fruitful result. I furnished the following information of my handset as indicated in the Jobsheet No. 165343506/090113/13 dated 13.01.2009 for your ready reference please:

As per Jobsheet status enquiry, it indicated that the set has already been repaired but unfortunately the same has not been delivered to me inspite of repeated visit to the Nokia Care Shop mentioned above.

I would therefore request you to kindly look into the matter personally and take appropriate action so that my set is delivered without causing further delay.

If I do not receive any positive response either from Nokia Authority or from Nokia Care, GS Road, Shillong within a week from the date of issue of this mail, I shall be constraint to take up the matter to the Consumer Court/Forum beside going to media. Nokia being a reputed company, I believe you will not allow to turnish the image of your company for the foul play of your Customer Care, Shillong mentioned above.
