Nokia 3600 Slide has been a constant trouble ever since it has been brought from Reliance Digital, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon, 10th Oct. Receipt number C1004 #0070. The first time i requested for replacement was on 17th Oct as the phone volume button and power switch would not work. The Reliance people said that they cannot do anything and that the phone should be taken to Nokia Care. The address for Nokia Care on the website is Sheetla Communications, Address: Shopping Arcade, Sushant Lok- 1, Gurgaon. This is not where it actualy is now B-249 super mart1, DLF IV, gurgaon. because i was unable to locate them, coz i do not live in that part of the city, it took me 5 days to finally locate them on 22nd Oct.
When i told them the phone history, they said nothing can be done as in only repair or replacement of part can happen, if at all, but u wont be able to get the piece replaced as the replacement can happen only within 7 days. This is just no fair. I have taken this piece to Nokia care six times before it was been finally submitted for faults, I happened to change the sim card in the handset as i travel often outside the country, and it would not switch on…before that the volume button would not function. Before that I never came to know that it’s a faulty piece.
On every visit, the engineer would repair and get the phone working, however, at the slightest vibration on the phone, it’s volume button would again not function and again a trip to Nokia care would happen.
They finally submitted my phone for part replacement. However, I would like to have a new handset and not a faulty one as it’s history has been. It been six months since I bought this phone and I have visited Nokia Care 7 times for the same fault.
Please help. The Nokia people do not take any responsibility of the product an the sufferers are people like us. We keep making trips to their center and all they tell us is "it's not in our hands to help you even if your problem is genuine"
