At present i am not having a complain. Before complaining, i just want to know something about a cheque issued to someone. I want to know that what does the date indicates written in a cheque issued to someone. whether it indicates that the cheque is actually issued on that particular date or it just indicates the validity period of the cheque i.e six month from the date written on the cheques. Now, if it indicates that the cheque is actually issued on that particular date, than i would like to receive answer to the following questions:
1. suppose someone has opened a account on first of november and on tenth november he issued a cheque dated 01.10. will the bank honour or dis-honour this cheque?
2. suppose someone has received a new chequebook on nov 10. he issued a cheque dated 01.09. will the bank honour or dis-honour this cheque?
3. suppose a new authorised signatory has been appointed for operating a company's account on nov 01. he issued a cheque dated 01.08.2008 on company's behalf on 10.11.2008. will the bank honour or dis-honour this cheque?
4. suppose an existing authorised signatory has been removed for operating a company's account on nov 01. On nov 20, there comes a cheque dated 01.10.2008 in the bank signed by the removed signatory for honouring it. will the bank honour or dis-honour this cheque?
I request you please answer me for the above questions. This will help me a lot for taking a decision for complaining or not to complain against the bank. I will be very thankful, if i get the reply.
