It is pathetic to see that after 5 months the passport is not being processed and it still shows as the status "Police report has not been received". I cannot divulge the file number because of security reasons but I did mention my gmail id and if required I can proved the details on further request. I have written several mails to the Lucknow Passport office and every time I get a fixed response, we have fwd your request to the concerned department. passport has been submitted on 31st Dec '08. And after 5.5 months there seems to be no work has been done. No one is telling us anything. When we talked on the phone to the lucknow office, they told us that we should have bribed them earlier.
If anyone do look to these complaints please.. take the necessary action.
(Though I am not sure if anyone from teh concerned department is really going to look into this..
