OFFER OF CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT
ATTENTION: Mr. Gulji K Kalani
In view of the interview we held with you recently, Oceanic Oil is pleased to offer you a contract employment which you are to join us from 18th April as follows:
• POSITION: Production Engineer
• JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
(1) Plans and coordinates production procedures in industrial plant.
(2) Directs production departments.
(3) Regulates and coordinates functions of office and shop.
(4) Introduces efficient production line methods.
(5) Initiates and directs procedures to increase company output.
• PLACE OF WORK: you will be based at, Oceanic Oil Office in UK.
• WORK SCHEDULE: you are to work from Monday to Friday (8) hours per day
Starting from 08.00a.m excluding lunch time. You shall be entitled to overtime worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day at the rate of 5% of your monthly basic salary
Compensation (Wages): we shall pay you the following remunerations:
(a) Monthly basic salary - £. 7, 000.00
(b) Housing allowance - £. 2, 500.00
(c) Motor vehicle allowance - £. 2, 000.00
(d) Utilities allowance (meals subsidy - £. 1, 900.00
Family medical reimbursement, etc)
TOTAL =£ 13, 400.00
Out station allowance of £70.00 shall be paid per night spent outside UK.
You will go on one month annual leave calendar months and you shall be paid amount equal to your monthly basic salary as leave allowance. You shall also be paid an amount equal to your monthly basic salary as Christmas bonus.
If you work for only a year and wish to leave. The Oceanic Oil shall pay you an amount equal to monthly basic salary as end of contract allowance.
But if you work between 2 to 5 years and you wish to leave, the company shall pay you an amount equal to your monthly basic for every year of service as end of contract allowance.
MEDICALS:
For the duration of this contract, you will be entitled to a free medical care, up to a maximum of £1, 970.00 per year. This applies to the work only, excluding his family / relations.
Industrial accident during and in the course of employment duties shall be treated in accordance with the labour act on workmen’s compensation.
The Oceanic Oil reserves the sole right with out prejudice to terminate the contract if due to illness or any form of incapacity; you are unable to present your self to work six (6) consecutive days during the period of your contract employment without prior information to the management.
PERSONAL SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
Safety equipment will be provided to you on your arrival to the Oceanic Oil.
You are instructed to strictly adhere to the safety policy enforced on your place of assignment as non compliance will lead to your immediate dismissal.
TERMINATION OF THE CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT:
• Your first one (1) month with the Oceanic Oil shall be taken as a probation period which your employment can be terminated without notice.
• Either party can afterwards terminate the appointment by giving seven (7) days: Notice or payment in lieu. Notice period does not apply in case of serious misconduct.
END OF THE CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT:
It is not bind on the Oceanic Oil to renew the offer of contract employment at the expiring date.
THIS APPOINTMENT IS SUBJECT TO:
(a) Satisfactory reference received from referees acceptable to this Company
(b) A certificate of fitness from an approved medical practitioner.
(c) The rules and regulation enforce and made from time to time.
With compliance with the mobilization, advancement & reimbursement policies (MA&RP) of the Oceanic Oil, you shall be required to incurred all initial expenses as a result of your documentation & paper work processes/procurement and would be reimbursed in not more than five (5) working days upon your submission of invoice receipt or proof of incurred expenses.
You are please requested to sign each page of this letter to confirm your acceptance to the terms of this employment.
