* I (resigned on 01/06) had submitted application for PF withdrawal on 19/09/08 { PF A/C no. KN / 42255 / 10} and since the settlement didn't come we visited the PF office on 21/10/08, the day on which Mr. Khalid was on leave. Ms. Charulata, Section 22, EPF Office checked the records and confirmed that all is well. (Ms. Charulata checked and found that the earlier trustees 'BIRLA BROTHERS PF, KOLKATA' had transferred an amount of Rs. 3, 34, 890 (for the period July to November) for the above accnt number to B'lore office early this year.)
*Spoke to Mr. khalid over phone to check once again and process the PF application on a priority basis, as the money is required for an emergency.
*Again spoke to Mr. Khalid and he confirmed that the process is complete fromtheir end and it will come to the bank directly.
*Today we see an amount of Rs. 29, 116/- that has been credited to the account. I spoke to my bank manager and he says that he has received only 1 cheque from the PF office that says “FOR WITHDRAWAL BENEFITS” for an amount of Rs. 29, 116/-
*The principal amount deposied in my name from M P BIRLA is
334890 (from birla brothers provident fund) 46, 344 (from M P Bir;a directly)
*Therefore, total is Rs. 3, 81, 234 accumulated interest!
We have been trying to call the PF office since the past 2 days at number 080 22483722 and we just don't get any response from there. The phone is either ringing and no one picks up or it is engaged. I'm not sure if they have decided to not pick any calls.
Please see that the entire amount comes to us as it is an emergency and we are unable to contact anyone to get any information
