Hi,
My wife was using airtel telephonic services few months back. Presently i am in USA . We received a huge bill in 2007 end with my wife's number written on it. We discussed with airtel department and informed them of erroneous bill.
We were told by airtel department to submit the exact bill which belongs to us and They sent a guy to collect the bills and got our sign as well for termination of the service.
We were told that our number has terminated now.
We did not get any call from airtel dept for long and now suddenly their recovery agents have started calling our parents, relatives and whatever the number we might have called in that period. They are threating us with dire consequances in case we do not pay the bill. Now i really dont understand why should i pay this bill which does not belong to me . can anyone suggest me what action i should take? Although bill is very meagre but i want to teach this department a lesson now. They keep doing this to all their honest customers quite often.
