I am an Airtel prepaid mobile custome for almost five years. Recently I received a message regarding address verification. I scheduled five appointments but nobody ever came to receive the documents. Each time, I would have to repeat my correct adress, and somebody would assure that it would be done within 24 hrs. Then, nobody would come and when I would call to schedule a verification, they would again have the wrong address. Now they have deactivated outgoing calls on my SIM. Airtel custome care asked me to submit a fresh SIM application at the local service centre and after doing all the paperwork, I was told by the nodal office that it was the wrong advice. I have asked the nodal office (Ms Neha Babbar) to correct the problem but again despite their reassurance, the SIXTH appointment has been missed by Airtel. This is a unfortunate example of how even the private players provide shoddy service because the consumers have no voice. a hefty fine should be imposed on Airtel for this and the relevant document collection person (s) at 9910020031 should be fired.
