Non Delivery of parcel containing book

My father has sent one parcel containing a book from Bhilai to Kolkata. On Tuesday 25/7 the postman delivered a slip on which it is written that I have to collect the parcel from the post office. The reason they are giving is that it is too heavy. The parcel weighs just 542gm. We both husband and wife are working and it is impossible for us to go and collect it. The parcel number is PL- 1G - JY/99.
