Reference – NSCs of Serial No – 71EE-400412, 63CC-738796 and 738797 of reg no. – 8835 dated 19/12.
Description – I purchased the above mentioned NSCs of Rs. 12000 from Chittaranjan Post Office of pin – 713331 on 19/12 whose maturity was on 19/12. In the mean time I have permanently settled at 68/141 Jessore Road Kolkata – 700074 after my retirement from my service at Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, Chittaranjan. On 18/10 I applied to the Post Master, Motijheel Post Office of Pin – 700074 with photocopies of necessary documents to do the needful for encashment of the said NSCs from this Post Office. But it is a matter of utter failure of the Postal Service that uptill date I have not got the assured sum back. In this connection I mention that on telephonic enquiry I came to know that my application was sent through Belgachia Divisional Post Office to Asansol Divisional Post Office for further verification from Chittaranjan Post Office on 23/10 vid Belgachia Divisional Office’s Ref No. – 372 dated 23/10 and since that date it is still lying in possession of Asansol Divisional Post Office pending clearance. I am requesting you kindly to take up the issue and arrange to pay the matured value of the sum with same interest as that of NSCs for the delayed period as early as possible.
