PAN CARD APPLIED AS FEMALE BUT ISSUED AS BELONGING TO MALE

I applied for a PAN Card to Commissioner of Income Tax JALANDHAR-1, PUNJAB as a FEMALE employee of K.V.KAPURTHALA during 2002.

I have been issued with PAN CARD NO AAO PB 4517 H with details as under:-

NAME:- SURINDER KAUR BHATIA

FATHER'S NAME:- PRITAM SINGH BHATIA

DATE OF BIRTH:- 11-02-1954

The card has been sighned by COMMISSIONER OF INCOME TAX JALANDHAR.

This year I was surprised to see my IT assessment done as a MALE employee.

On contacting the ITO Jalandhar I was told that in records I am being shown as SHRI

where as it should be SMT/MRS.

I request the INCOME TAX AUTHORITIES to correct their records so that in future I am assessed as a FEMALE employee.
