Irregular service in the span of AMC

It is presumed that an after-sale service determines the brand value of a reputed company and also strengthens the relationship between customers and a company. It is the authorised service centres who bear the responsibility of holding fame of a branded company.

Four years back, I purchased one water-purifier (Model: i-Nova) against the customer code-1002625338 and S.I NO. 4017338. For the first year, I did not subscribe the AMC facility and in the next year I subscribed an 1-year AMC by paying Rs.1000/- and accordingly service technicians rendered two periodical services by reminding over phone call in advance and as per the contract they made the first periodical service by making a routine check-up and at the end of the year they served the second periodical check-up by replacing the couple of carbon blocks. On 12.07. one service technician named Sanjay Pal attended my house from the authorised outlet located at Sahaganj, Hooghly (Service Franchisee-1530 owned by Soumen Banerjee) and made me subscribe 2-years AMC and accordingly I went for renewal of 2 years AMC by paying Rs. 2050/- vide the contract receipt no. 10-16702325 dated 12.07.2009 and it was assured that within the span of 2 years, they would be attending four times and the carbon blocks would be replaced twice within the period of 2-year AMC. But it is a matter of surprise that on making several phone calls, they finally attended my house with resentment in the month of April’2010 that is, more than 8 months after the renewal of AMC. Being ill-fated, I am now expressing doubt upon my self- conscience as to whether I have done some wrong by going for a renewal of 2-years AMC as almost 15 months have already been elapsed but neither any phone call has been received from the service outlet nor any service technician has attended the product till date.

Hope this grievance shall work favourably and prompt response is expected from your part of the company within the next 7 days failing which the company will be proved violating the contract and eventually make me proceed legally.
