Port-in to idea

I had my number 9096800520 ported-in to idea. the process started in late Oct-11. I got a verification call on 28.10.11. I told him that i am out of station today, but you can come and meet me on any of next three days. He didn't turn up. So i had to call idea agent to start verification process again. Meanwhile the agent was transferred to another place. So only phone communication was possible. It took a week or so to do verification. Till 15th Nov, i was calling every alternate day to customer care and did get different answers for non-activation of number. on 16th, i was told that the number is being activated on 11th. i told the customer care guy that i already have simcard inserted in phone. he said that the sim must have damaged and i must go to nearest outlet and get it replaced.

once i went to outlet, the girl working there asked me where did i get the sim? i answered her that i got it from your agent. so she said that i must pay 50 Rs for sim-replacement. i denied. and after half hour battle, she was ready to replace it at no charge. next day, i went there with photo-id proof she asked and got the sim replaced.

it again took another day to start activation, again with follow-up with retail outlet people. still the phone was only had incoming facility, not outgoing.

i waited for another day, and again contacted customer care. the guy told me that i haven't submitted the documents, hence the service is restricted. meanwhile, i got the rental bill for a month, for which i didn't get any services.

Now: if idea guys think that my documents are not with them, then how come this port-in was possible?

if they have misplaced it, then how it should be my responsibility? and how come should i come to know about it?

if a brand new sim is damaged, then why should i pay for it?

and, if they think they don't have any documents and they can't activate sim for this reason, then what right they have to charge me?

(i don't expect answers for it from any idea guys, because i beginning to feel that there is no such department as customer care in there)
