I am a subscriber of Idea Cellular (Maharashtra & Goa circle) - Prepaid services. From 20 April onwards I have been noticing abrapt deduction of balance. On 07 May I decided to enquire about it with their customer care (Toll free no. 12345), which shamelessly told that a "summer contest" service has been activated in my account from 13 April and for which Rs. 5 per day has been deducted from my account. I was completely taken aback, as neither I ACTIVATED such service, nor I used this service. On insisting that I have never booked such service, they kept telling me that the activation was done from my end, which is a BALANT LIE. Same reply came from their customer grievance cell (No. 198 from Idea mobiles). They have forcefully taken my money, this is GOONDAISM. I suspended the service on 07 April. But the question is I have lost 23 days x Rs 5 / day = Rs. 115 (Rupees One Hundred and Fifteen), which I want back, and this is my appeal to your honorable bench. They did not give any evidence other than just telling that I have activated it, but how did I activated it? The answer was not given.
I am sure, if this could happen to me, then there are many others who are been duped in the same manner by the same company, where the services are activated without the knowledge of the user and the user is forced to pay for it. I strongly believe, you should take it seriously and save the citizens of this country been looted by this Idea Cellular, by delivering an apt justice.
