I PROCURED A NOKIA MADE BLD-3 BATTERY FOR MY NOKIA HAND SET 2100 FROM M/S.S.H. MUMTAZUDDIN (MY MOBILE STORE, 13, B.B.D. BAG, KOLKATA-1. WHEN I GOT IT RECHARGED FOR THE FIRST TIME, IT TOOK 30 MINUTES TO CHARGE FULLY AND ON MAKING A SINGLE CALL IT WAS DISCHARGED. THE VERY NEXT DAY, I WENT TO THE SAME SHOP AND ASK THEM TO REPLACE THE BATTERY WITH A FRESH ONE. THEY ARGUED AS TO MY MOBILE SET IS FAULTY & DETAINED ME FOR A LONG TIME IN THE SHOP. AFTER CONVINCING THEM THAT MY MOBILE IS FUNCTIONING PROPERLY, THEY TOOK THE BATTERY AND ASKED ME TO COME AFTER 10 DAYS. AFTER 10 DAYS THEY GAVE ME A NEW BATTERY & I FOUND IT FAULTY AS THE EARLIER. I AGAIN WENT TO THE SHOP & RETURNED THE BATTERY ON 08.03.2011. THEY ASKED ME TO COME AFTER 7 DAYS, BUT I HAVE NOT GOT A NEW BETTERY TILL DATE. WHENEVER I MEET THEM, THEY ASK ME TO COME AFTER ONE DAY OR TWO. I ALSO ASKED THEM TO RETURN THE MONEY OR LET ME BUY SOME OTHER ARTICLE INSTEAD OF RETURNING THE MONEY, BUT THEY ARE NEITHER READY TO RETURN THE MONEY NOR GIVE ME OTHER OPTION. IN VIEW OF THIS, I APPEAL THE CONCERN AUTHORITY OF THE CONSUMER COMPLAINT FORUM TO TAKE SUITABLE ACTION AGAINST THE SAID SHOPKEEPER IN ORDER TO STOP SUCH KIND OF HARRASMENT.
