My husband & me are travelling out of India for a year for work purposes.

He has a Vodafone number 91 9920028238.

We paid the last bill & any other accrued amount as of 3rd June'12 (approx 2500 INR) & put the number in safe custody. After 4 months Vodafone called my mother-in-law (who was the contact number given at the time of safe custody) & claimed a bill of 4000 INR was unpaid.

We assured her that the all amount was cleared & should not worry. Soon in few weeks Vodafone again started calling her & harassing her for the payment. The agents spoke to her rudely demanding immediate payment.

We have the receipts of payment for the amounts paid & the safe custody, but the agents were persistent.

Last week, after making a long overseas call (call went on for half hour, with the agent putting us on hold for almost 15 mins) it was discovered that the bill amount paid was indeed received by them uptill 3rd Jun'12. The number was put in safe after 4th of June & 4000 INR outstanding amount was infact for the ONE DAY charge of 4th June'12.

HOW CAN A ONE DAY BILL BE 4000 INR!!! We have asked Vodafone to email a copy of that ONE DAY bill, which we have not yet received.

WHAT WAS VODAFONE DOING FROM PAST 5 MONTHS? WHY HAVE THEY CONTACTED NOW? WHY WAS NO BILL SENT TO US FOR THAT 'ONE DAY'???
