I have a complaint regarding the misguiding which is going on with the internet plan which I have taken.(CUG plan taken for corporate employee's from Mumbai) and also incorrect billing due to not activating the data plan in the system by the CSR inspite of calling 198.

I have been using Airtel GSM services for the past 6 years as prepaid connection.

Recently in the month of November I converted prepaid to postpaid under CUG plan which I took from Mumbai, Maharashtra.

I have activated the plan as below by calling on 198 on 5th November and asking to activate the plan 98 GPRS 1 GB free:-

Rs.149-49 = Rental

Rs.98 GPRS for 1 GB free.

Later on I had received 3 Welcome calls from Airtel call centre and I confirmed the above plans with both of them and they said the above is the plan activated.

Then I started making data usage from 17th November.

Then I activated daily usage by sms SUNB to 121 and activated daily alerts for usage.

In those usages I got very high values which I confirmed by calling on :- 9892012345 and the person said the same thing that this is the plan and I need not worry for getting those high values.

So I further didnot ask anyone. Then started using internet on my mobile only after confirmation.

Later that day I got a call from airtel call centre that my internet usage is high and I asked the CSR what is the plan currently showing in the system, CSR said its getting connected to Airtel Live and Rs.98 GPRS is not the plan.(This call is dated 26th November)

Later on 27th November I called 198 and raised a complaint, the CSR activated the plan and promised the charges will be waived off you need to call on 13th Dec somewhere around in evening when your bill will be generated. (When I asked about this complain they are saying they dont have any complain raised on this date). I even asked the CSR it shoudnt be like:- later you all will say that the customer has activated the plan from today. Ensure you are logging this complaint and he said yes. Now they say they dont have any such complaint number.

I kept raising issues/complains since then and have been to Airtel office in Mulund West two times but they too couldn't solve the issue.

Almost every day I have called 198 about what is the resolution. I even dropped so many mails to appelate.mumbai and nodal officer also corporate customer care but to no use :-

So I finally got frustrated and decided to port out since the charges for data usage from 5th November to 26th November are invalid charges which are wrongly being charges, this is due to the CSR mistake that they did not activate the plan.

Moreover I asked them to check the 3 welcome calls but no one is ready to check them wherein the CSR confirmed the Data plan (that is the proof I have got).

Expecting to get some help in this matter, I am really exhausted in chasing to resolve the issue.

Its the CSR's mistake and I am being charged wrongfully for it.

If I calculate the exact bill amount its 497 Rs. All the above amount (2086-497 Rs.) is charges for the data plan within period 5th Nov to 26th Nov.

You have to cancel and regenerate the bill for Dec.
