Modified and downgraded the VAS

This is regarding Airtel. I bought GPRS connection Rs. 98/- with 2GB CAP. This is the VAS and no where connected to any voice plan. I added it as additional service. A month before I upgraded my voice plan. It is from Rs.249/- to Rs. 349/-. Once the voice plan is upgraded I found that the GPRS was stopped working. When I called them, Airtel told yes it was activated while upgrading my voice plan. They also told if I want it now it would be only 1 GB for Rs. 98. Firstly there was no intimation is given when they deactivated my GPRS account. Secondly there was no proper answer when I demanded how come Airtel can deactivate my VAS service where it was bought separately.

They also said it is applicable to all new customers. I am surprised because I am Airtel customer for past 8 years with same number. But Airtel is so adamant that they do not want revert back to 2 GB for me and they will treat me as new customer. They did not follow any of the process that they do it for the new customer. I just sent request upgrade my voice plan. I also heard from them that all old Airtel customers still enjoys 2GB with Rs.98 plan.

It looks very clear that Airtel is waiting for the reasons to downgrade the services to the customer and try to justify their mistakes. Not sure what next I can do on this. Shall I go for the same to consumer court?
