Sim swapping

Sir,

My mob no. is 919556992010. from last night my sim is showing that sim card registration failed. when i call the same no. from another no., my call is connecting to somewhere else and some one is recieving the call.

when i called to the customer care, they r saying that, "the number may have been swapped, so buy another sim card paying extraa money or apply for a duplicate one."

though it's not my fault, why should i apply for a duplicate one or buy a new one?

Kindly take necessary actions regarding this.
