I took 3G Airtel Data card bearing the no. 9678075247 from Airtel outlet at G.S. Road in Guwahati. For the last four months or so, I have been paying an amount ranging from Rs 980 to Rs 1050 per month.

The service was very poor. I realised that the company had been charging me for the 3G service which was not available in Guwahati at that point of time. I went to the Airtel Outlet in G.S. Road again on 14 April to discontinue the service as I felt cheated and I was amazed that the company would resort to this kind of mis-selling. However, I was told that I would not be allowed to discontinue before the completion of 6 months. Another arm twisting tactic which I felt was grossly unfair. The executive there admitted that 3G facility had not been extended to Assam. She requested me to change the plan. As I believed in giving a second chance to people, I filled up the form for the change of plan.

Unfortunately, when I received the bill, Airtel had again charged me for 3G facility. Enough is enough. I got the data card disconnected. I will not pay this bill.

I paid the earlier bills under protest. I want Airtel to quickly rederess this complaint.

I feel : (a) Customers should be given the service for which they have paid.

(b) Airtel should not take advantage of the customers by taking them for a

ride.

(c) Airtel should apologise for the mis-selling
