My number 9958728978 was deactivated on 30th March. I didnt get any message from Airtel telling it is going to deactivate. When i mailed customer care on 14th April they told me reasons for deactivation. I asked them to re genrate same number for me because i was using this number from last 4 years and i will incur great losses if same number is not given to me. To my surprise i was told number has been given to another customer. This is clear violation of TRAI regulation's. How a number can be re-cycled and given to another customer with in 14 days.
