New SIM Cards Not Working With Nokia 7610

I Purchased 2 New SIM cards from Airtel Dealer (Gajanan Mobiles) in my city Parola, these Mobile No are 1) 9970822575 2) 9970822475 both numbers are activated & working in any other mobile phones (new) but these airtel sim cards are not working in my nokia 7610 handset (it says insert sim card), not only these 2 numbers but also any new sim card available in dealers shop, but when in insert any other company sim card (new or old) these are working properly in my handset even now i am using my old Airtel sim in that same handset (nokia 7610) which is working properly so when i ask my dealer about this problem he suggest me to buy new mobile phone, & when i ask him if these sim cards are not working with my phone then you keep these sim cards & give me back money i will buy any other company sim he refuse to return my money & also not solving my problem, he says we are not responsible if our sim cards are not working with your phone & our responsibility is up to activation of your sim card only, so i call Airtel Customer care to solve my problem they told me go to your dealer he will solve your problem .. now both are suggesting each others names & no one is heaping me .. please help me...
