Hi, I am Dharam Veer. I had purchased a Airtel Pre Paid SIM (9794991561) from a retailer in Lucknow in May All the required documents were submitted to the retailer and was enjoying the services since May. Unfortunately, on 23.02.2010 I lost my mobile with SIM. I requested Airtel to issue me a duplicate SIM. But I was refused and advised that the Original SIM was not issued in my name hence a duplicate SIM can not be issued to me.
I am surprised to note how it can be? How a SIM can be issued to in the name of other person. I am enjoying the facility for last two years. My call details are available with the company. Recharges have been made from my bank account directly using MCHEK facility.
Kinly help in the case & advise accordingly.
