1p per second billing

I have 1p per second (local and std) active on my aritel prepaid connection. But I never bothered to look if I was being charged correctly, thinking that Airtel serves its customers very well.

But today i realized that this is not the case. They are charging more. I had called nearly 4-5 seconds (local call to one of my friend), and I was charged nearly 19 paise. That means from the day I had opted for the 1p per second thing, I have been charged wrong.

I dont want to change my number, so I have to stick to Aritel. So I have no other choice. But I thought to post this here, so that other customers are aware of the practice Aritel follows. So be careful, and check on the charges being deducted after you call.
