I am having an Airtel Landline connection.

Recentlywhen I went thru the details of calls made I found there were many calls charged for a duration of even 6-7 seconds. Normally it takes over 15-20 seconds for a call to mature for billing since only a matured call can be billed. Since I had a doubt I kept a watch and on a fixed day I dialled my own other phone (BSNL) and without attending the call I disconnected the phone after dialling the number. I did this once again by dialling my other number without taking the call. When I recieved the bill I found that the call was billed!

Apparently, it is a serious matter and I'm planning to take this up at appropriate Regulatory authority while lodging the complaint at Airtel also.

I would also request the public to keep a watch to see if this is happening to their phone also.
