I booked DTH connection through credit card on May 31 and paid Rs, 2589/- for two connection and was allotted consumer no 3008080443. Local representative of AIRTEL came and installed a defective antenna (this was noticed next day). Two set up boxes were provided out of which one was defective and the representative assured to replace the same the next day. Unfortunately on set up box which was installed received hazy pictures. On making complains over phone no 020 40181400 yielded no result. no body seems to bother about even lodging of the complaint. Two persons whose name I recorded are Mr. Ravi Kumar, Ms. Madavi. After much persuasion I received a SMS on my registered mobile giving a service request no. 8735379. I was telephonically informed that within 12 hours my complaint will be redressed. 72 hours have passed and nothing has been done so far. I am surprised to receive another message from AIR tel DTH that my above service complaint has been resolved and if it is not resolved then to call 9939275450.When I tried to contact on this number to lodge my protest the cell number was found be switched off and even now the status is the same. The appellate authority's cell number 09771472070 provide on the service receipt provided with the set up box does not exist. GOD knows who and how to approach. I feel cheated by AIRTEL and through this message I would like to warn all consumers to get alerted by the type of service this so called large company is doing. I shall still make some efforts and wait for some time before filing my prayer before Consumer court to redress my grievance.
