Setup box not working, customer account information is not open, request for disconnection not handled and so loss of customer money

Dear sir,

My customer ID is 3005115344.

I had a sad story and it cost me a mental torture with the service of Airtel DTH. Any Airtel employee who checks this customer-ID and the list of complaints/grievances filed by me will definitely feel low for working for that company and will resign immediately.

I don't know whether I get justice here or not but, I totally give up my hopes to get any justice from them. I am only doing this to make sure that any soul in this country will never ever do the mistake I did. The long wait to hear the sad story is below mentioned in points:

1. My account info is not known to me from the setup box. Only on call you get to know your balance. I called the DTH operator and they informed me that this feature is not enabled in your connection.

2. Subscribing a new channel will take by only on a call and that too a lengthy phone conversation. SMS system never worked for me.

3. Signal problem: Once there was a problem in getting signal. Called them. Reached the next day and they solved the problem by changing the satellite. They said that Airtel shifted to new satellite. Problem with this new satellite is, if it rains, I won’t get any signal.

4. Here comes the hard to digest part. My setup box is not starting sometimes. Sometimes it behaves that it never had a problem. Raised a complaint. They turned up and found out that it is a HD box. Said that we need to replace the setup box and they don’t have a HD box right now.

Daily he calls me and ask “Sir. What is the problem? ”.

I explain the problem to him.

Ok sir our consultant will come. He never turns up. Two weeks gone. Spoiled one of my weekend too. Irritated with this I raised a request again.

Again they started calling “Sir. What is the problem? ”. I shouted at him that why do you ask the same question again.

My irritation levels got increased to an extent that I cannot bare it anymore. Said them give me a call when the setup box is ready. So that now the calls are not coming. Two weeks passed and I no response from them. Raised a complaint again. They called me back and said there are no HD boxes available right now. Please wait for two days.

Finally after a month of phone calls they came and replaced a setup box. The service group asked me for compensation for replacing a setup box which I bought only 6 months back. I said I won't give you in cash. You only collect it from my account. My account had Rs 800/- at that time.

The next day the setup box is showing some blue screen. Again I tried to raise a complaint. The customer care keeps me on indefinite loop to wait and they don't attend me even after 5minutes. I made more than 15 calls like this and it is humiliating. Finally I decided to raise for disconnection and at least get my money back which is in the account. They told me that they will correct all the problems and give me extra 15 days viewing time. That never happened. I again raised for disconnection and they tried to convince me again and I didn’t. Then they told me to send a mail to [email protected] to request for disconnection. I did that.

I didn’t get any acknowledgement. My account is never de-activated. And I lost the entire money in my customer account. More over the mental torture. Now after 4 months the entire 800rs is used as my subscription and I am getting message and automated phone calls to recharge my account. Please help me.
