Sir,

I had gone for ecs from my axis bank account for barclay credit card. the ecs request for the month of april was bounced from my account due to insufficient fund. i got this information from the bank via sms following which i contacted the bank via customer care. i was told to make alternate payment which i did, sending a cheque for an amount of rs. 820/- . the cheque was of standard chartered bank, dadar branch and it was dropped at skypack drop box Hotel Malini, Hadapsar, pune. for many days i did not receive any feedback from the bank following which i contacted the bank again the fedback i got was they did not receive the payment. duing this period i was receiving the sms for the payment. again i called up the bank and placed my complain to look into the matter. the reply to my complaint was given as the cheque was invalid. thereafter i asked the executive so as what to do next. the executive said that in case the payment was done both the payment of Aril and may will be done through ecs in may. now i started receiving calls from collection department of the bank saying the payment is immidiate. i do not understand when the due date is 3 rd of may why i am being harrased calling again and again for the payment? and now i came to know that i have to pay rs. 550/- for bouncing the ecs and 660/- for late payment and some other charges including which i was told to pay about rs. 1200 extra for just one ecs bounce. please help me.
