Un wanted SMS

I am getting bull shit stock tips irritating SMS un-necessarily. I fail to understand how they got my number. Sometimes I even get some direct calls asking for if I have any interest in stock market. I get the SMS from BA-ValueBuy, TM-TOPGAINS etc. Plz help me how to get rid of this nuisance.
