With reference to the above Credit Card # I would like to inform you that there was a settlement done by AXIS BANK for 77, 500/- INR (Seventy Seven Thousand and Five Hundred Only) for which Axis Bank has given me the settlement letter also. Once the settlement amount was cleared I was under the impression that this account would have been closed by the bank. But to my dismay you have not closed this account and also made my savings account as a lean account yesterday 12th August bringing my account to a negative balance account. My cheque which was presented yesterday got bounced due to insufficient funds even though I had enough funds in my account. I went to the branch today morning and have submitted a copy of the settlement letter and receipt from AXIS Bank for the amount also.

I understand from my local branch here that it was the responsibility of the bank to close my account as soon as they got the settlement cheque from me cleared. But it was not done and kept open till date and then without any information making my savings account as lean account. I would like AXIS BANK to change the status of savings bank account ASAP and also to reverse all the cheque bounces which has happened due to the negligence of the concerned bank personnel.
