I have taken a Car Loan from Bank of America, Kolkata for Rs.2300000.00 way back on July 1999 with submission of 60 checks of Rs.5793.00 for purchasing my Indica Car bearing No. WB 20B 2014. The loan was liquidated in July. However by that period, ABN Amro Bank has taken over Bank of America and the bank has not submitted to me the loan liquidation certificate and the non objection certificate in case I require any time to sell the car. However, my Registration Book was not stamped by them with the remarks "Hypothecated to Bank of Ameirca". Now, myself being a physically handicapped person under Section 80U of Income Tax Act, require to dispose of my car in question, ABN Amro Bank has not been issuing the N.O.C. with the plea that they have lost all records to do the needful. I submitted to them Engine No.and Chassis No. mentioned in the R.C. Book of the car (I submitted to them scanned copy), they are not issuing the same and holding on deliberately to go on harassing me.
