Negligent and Poor Services resulting in financial, Mental and career losses

This is to complain aganist worst courier service by The Professional Courier which could not deliver 6 documents at 6 different locations in Rajasthan and UP for 11 days so far and which resulted into loss of career / admission to MBA for students of these locations since the forms sent via these documents could not be delivered by the said courier services on time till today and the last date of admission is today, i.e. 31/7.

The description of the complaint is given in the letter/mail sent to the company by us today as produced below which is self-explanatory.

This mail is a highly sensitive mail for pointing out your poor and deceitful services.

This mail is sent by an NGO who has tasted a very irresponsible act of your poor corier service through your New Panvel Branch which instead of bothering to rectify the error/lapse promptly, responded not only irresponsibly but also unrudely with the customer. The incident took place at 18:34 on 31/7.

The description of the matter is as under:

We had availed services of your courier services to send following 6 documents to different locations with complete address about 11 days back but none of these are delivered on time so far:

Scanned copies of consignment receipts are enclosed for your ready reference.

The documents were sensitive in terms of last date for these were carrying forms for admission of students having last date of 31st July but it did not reach on time resulting into loss of students' career/admission to Institute for MBA education. On contacting by the addressee in one of the consignment at Jaipur, your local office at Jaipur replied having sent the document back stating the reason that they do not deliver the document in the area of the addressee. It is very ridiclous and surprising that you accept the documents for courier for the area/place where you claim not to have service in those areas/places.

When we confronted with your local office (New Panvel Branch Manager Mr. Amol) over phone 27465038 which was picked up after 2 hours' attempt (Mob No. 9594900609 was unavailable with reason to check the number again), your Branch Manager instead of appologising for delay, refused to convey status over phone and asked to come to office with details. On our insisting to provide the details and status on phone, he used ill-mannered and foul languages and threatened to come to his office and see the consequence. We also tried your numbers of Corporate office at Sanpada as well as Mumbai Regional Office of CBD Belapur but no number was picked up despite several efforts for 2 hours. Our staff has been trying to contact in the normal course of business for the last 5 days to know the status of documents beside trying to find the track on your website but all in vain, hence is this mail with demand of compensation of losses of our documents and your failure in delivering the documents on time. We are also approaching local police for the misbehaviour and threatening by your branch manager.

Needless to mention that we, as an NGO, have been receiving such complaints and grievances against your company from many local citizens, particularly against your branch of New Panvel and since this instance has happened with us then we can well conclude what would have been fate of a common man with your poor and cheatful services.

In view of your negligent services, poor response and lack of services to customer, we hereby call upon you to make good of our losses @Rs. 50000/- for each document plus Rs. 200/- per document towards refund of courier charges and other cost in following up with you on receipt of this mail within a week's time failing which we shall have no option but to take legal recourses in consumer court and other courts of law solely at your cost as to consequences for which your company shall be alone responsible which please note. It will not be out of place to mention that our NGO is a self-sustained organization and does not depend upon any donation/public oney/Govt. Grant for its social and charitable activities and any amount accruing from this compensation will go foe social and punblic welfare activities specially to those who have suffered from poor products and services of companies like yours, hence is this demand of high damage that we have suffurred due to the above-said grievance at your hand.

Kindly treat this as our requiste final notice of demand as required under the Consumer Protection Act. We reserve our right to add/amend the matter with material facts as per legal terminology and requirements.
