I use a NOKIA 1110 handset with Airtel connection and has been using it for the last six years at Kolkata.
On the first of January at about 9-20 PM I was travelling in a black/yellow taxi from Peerless hotel, near Grand Hotel at Kolkata to Jadavpur, South Kolkata.
On by boarding the Taxi my cellphone startet beeping at certain interval. I thought some button has been inadvertently pressed, so tried for long to set it right, but failed. I then put off the phone, but inspite of it the beeping xcontinued till I got off the taxi at Jadavpur.
What might have been the problem? -some Airtel problem or it was some electronic interference from the taxi meter (with printer) or... or... it was a case of bugging? --this maybe of interest to Airtel and Nokia alike.
