Poor Service by representatives

Dear Sir,

I purchased a HCL Notebook No.8084AX078333 with code No. AXOP2825 from an authorised local dealer of HCL at Puducherry on 28.10.2008. After the expiry of warranty period, on 8.5. the DVD combodrive in the laptop failed to read CDs. I complained to the HCL authorised service point at Puducherry. The HCL Technician team of three viz., Mr. Shiva, Mr. Ashok and Mr. Hari was contacted and Mr. Hari was kind enough to come to my house on 9.5. and checked my Laptop. He removed the drive and took the same assuring that he would arrange for repairing or replacing the lens. He added that it would take at least one weeks' time and the charges would be around Rs.750/-.

After one week when I tried to contact Mr. Hari in his mobile No.9944457222, there was no response. The same happened when I contacted Mr. Ashok 9944349098. When I called Mr. Hari from a different number, he replied that he had sent the drive to Chennai and Mr. Umashanker o9500271377 is the contact person.

When I called Mr. Umashanker he told that he would attend to the work in a weeks' time.

As days passed in vain I spoke to Mr. Shiva 9659172443 who brought two drives which were not fitting to my laptop. However, Mr. Shiva said he would get the drive repaired.

I am sorry to mention here that till date I have not got back my drive either repaired or unrepaired. The people involved are not giving responsible replies. If they cannot repair the drive they should at least return the same to me.

Kindly look into this complaint and take steps to settle my problem.
