Over estimate/ mishandling of mobile fault

Sir,

I am using Nokia Phone for over the last fifteen years and never though of using any other brand as far as Mobile phone is concerned. But today experience at one of the service center - M/s Saksham Services, Patpar Ganj, Mayur Vihar -I, had forced me to change my views. I will now prefer to buy other Brands of Mobile

and will also suggest others not to buy NOKIA Mobile sets.

I had purchased Nokia 5310 Xpress from the Nokia Certified Center at Mayur Vihar -1 for Rs.1- . So far the phone was working ok, But for the last one month or so it start giving me trouble - some times the incoming sound is not clear; some time the lights keep on blinking; some time it jammed.

In the morning of 18-08 I went to Saksham Service center, which I think is the authorised service center of Nokia in a hope that my trouble will be over.

When my turn come i showed my phone to the lady concerned on the counter and told her about the problem i am facing. I further told that i wanted to get rid of this problem. I was told that the instrument need the upgradation of the software as the software of this mobile is quite old and new version is to be installed for which i had to pay Rs.450/- and then the phone will be all right.

I asked the concerned counter lady and boy that if it had any other problem they can solve it but they told me everything is ok with the set.

I gave my consent and was told to wait for 15 to 20 minutes. After more than half an hour the boy on the counter called me and told me that the phone is ok and i have to pay Rs.450/- which i paid. I insisted for the bill but it was not given instead i was told to sign on two paper to be kept for their record.

in the mean while i was checking my phone and found that the problem which i was facing is still there. I complained once again about it and then i was told that it requires cleaning. I gave my consent for it again.

Again after half an hour the phone was given back to me and after checking i found that the problem of the phone was still there. I had an argument with the concerned staff and before me there was one customer who also had a heated argument with the staff and the person who was sitting behind the counter at the Center.

Then again my mobile was sent inside and after some time i was told that some IC was not working properly and for which i had to pay Rs.1850/- and then it will be ok. I also had to replace the cover and the cost of it will be around Rs. 1280/- and then it will become like a new phone.

My argument was -- Why I was not told in the beginning about all this.

Why are they not able to detect the problem with the mobile?

Why are they misleading the customers? Only to get few more buck by hook or by crook and trying to become Karorpati. Such dealers are spoiling the name and brand of Nokia.

My humble request to Nokia people is that they should not appoint misleading and mischivious

people as their dealers who are not trained enough to look into the complaints of the Nokia customers properly.

Please suggest me as to how to get rid of Nokia 5310 Expee model problem – not functioning propely at this momemt. Shall i surrender my instrument to Nokia Biodegradeable dustbin or will it be reperable.
