I am residence of Jitodia and residing at Jitoida . on 21-8 at 20.30hrs all of a sudden my house meter wire started burning and immeidaltely I compaliend on 247803 at 21.00 hrs. but telphone was out of order so I have to put off my main keeping my family and guset in dark. When I went ot Electricity board office, there were three staffs on duty and I enquired why no body is liftting the telephone, I was told that it is out of order. I gave compalin orally and accordingly staff on duty teelphoned wireman and I was informed by the staff that since your compalin is after 18.00hrs, and that it is sigle perosn complain he will attend the complain next day morning. The wireman is not supposed to touch the main line.
I expalined the seriousness of the compalined and I was told by the staff that let the wire may burn once they wil sepearate out automatically fire will extinguish. I told what about the live wire that will sepaarte and if it touches the iron grill of my house? If fire is taken in side my concealed wiring it may damage my appliances. Whos will be responsible for these damage?
The curretn will give shock to the person who touches unknowingly to the iron grill. I the requested them to ask the wireman to come and look to the situation and let him tap the open wire which are dangerous and likely to give current. If current shock is severe the person may die also. They did not reply to my question. I was given answere by the staff on duty that you ask this question to the wireman when he will come tomorrow. I told that you are on duty and hence I would like to inform you that if the complain is not attended and if any damagre is being done it will be the electricity board who will be responsible for it. We also told that we are going to lodge compalin.
Once we left the office and reached trhe house, at about 22.0 hrs the concerned wireman came and attended the compalin. I thanked him also.
. Now my questions are that:
1. Are there any rules that such life threatening complain can not be attended by the staff after six P.M.(18.0 hrs)
2. If yes, what customer has to do under this circumstanec.
3.Reply given to me by the staff on duty that let the wire be allowed to burn, your problem will be solved
4.If there is any shock or death of a person under this situation who will be responsible
5. If the land line is out of order wht customer has to do under emergency?
