My father, Mr. Binod Agarwal had very low blood pressure (70/50) and frequent loose motion together with vomitting on the 10th of June. He was admitted at the Mohan Clinic at 9.00 pm that day under the supervision of Dr. Binod Binakia.
Later that night he was suffering from loose motion but there were no ayahs or maid servants to help him. He had to pass the stool in this pants and he was like that the entire night. There were no answer to his repeated efforts to call someone for help. Next morning he was not given anything to eat till 9.30 am and his clothes were not changed even after I had sent some fresh clothes early in the morning. Then he was shifted to a dirty room without his consent and his urinal pipe was left in the earlier room. Around 1.30 pm Mr. Binakia wanted my fathers Ultrasonography done. He was feeling like going to the bathroom but was told to control. Even after one hour had passed his testing was not done and he was made to sit in the visitors room all this while.
When we reached the clinic to see him, he was quickly shifted to a clean room before the visiting hours. He was treated like animals and the mental harassment he faced made him shiver in fright. Dr. Binakia’s attitude was appalling and his carelessness was contrary to the spirit of healthcare. He did not give us any satisfactory explanation of my father’s treatment and he did not give any conclusion for the numerous tests he had advised to be done.
We discharged our father today, June 12 with his health further deteriorated and while the ayahs wanted tips for the so called work the they had done. I was abused when I refused any tip.
Now, I request the concerned authority to kindly look in this matter so that any other patient is not treated so shabbily in a healthcare unit which is a basic amenity of the human life.
