Defective object not replaced

My Cd-Rom Drive is of the Make CREATIVE INFRA 48X, 1998.

Now I find it that It is Jammed due to the Belt being out of Place. Other vendors are not giving the warranty the product has. They suggest to replace the whole thing and spend a 1000 bucks.

Kindly request the company to do the needfull
