I am a resident of Bangalore. I purchased Gilma VISTO Chimney and HOB on 16.9.07. During Oct./Nov.07, the chimney display stopped working. Immediately I lodged a complaint with the service centre at Bangalore (Phone 23206659). Though I was assured of prompt service at the time of purchase and on lodging complaint, no body turned up for months together. When one technician came to the house after repeated complaints, he informed that he will come back in a day or two with new display and he never turned up. Complaint was again lodged and no response. After nearly 100 or more calls, one Mr. Omkar technician came, removed the display and assured to replace. However, again the same plight and after several reminders, he came and replaced the display and when he tried to demonstrate, again it did not work. He went back assuring that he will do the needful immediately. Even as on to-day the 29th Sept.08, no body is bothered to attend. On contacting Mr. Omkar, he gave one telephone No. of Mr. Lokesh((23215758) who has promosed more than three times to attend to the complaint. Now he is saying that mother board of the display needs to be replaced and he will be doing in a week. I really do not understand why nearly one year is required to decide about changing mother board. It makes me doubtful about the capacity of the service centre personnel in attending to the complaint.
I am thinking of approaching Consumer Forum to get my complaint redressed if nothing is done during this week.
What a pathetic service from Gilma. Definitely no customer will recommend this brand.
