Punishing passengers for GoAir faults

We purchased GoAir etickets for travel from Bangalore to Delhi for my wife Hita and infant son Paraj. The journey date was 13th April and the flight time 8:30am.

We started from home at 6:45 on the 13th April, it takes 30minutes from our home to the Bengaluru Intl. Airport. However on the way my son Paraj vomited and his dress had to be changed and he comforted also

my wife's dress needed to be cleaned, this caused a delay. Despite of that we reached the Airport at 7:45am still well within the time to make the flight (the check-in counter closes 20min before the flight time).

Since we did not have the printout of the ticket I needed to get it from the GoAir's counter at the airport. I loooked for the counter but could not locate it! All the airlines had put up prominant signboards on top of their counters. Amongst these there was no signboard of GoAir. I searched the entire row of counters

twice in vain. I asked several people including security people and some airport staff who said they dont know. Finally I went to the only counter without the board and found out that it was indeed the GoAir counter. They had just put a small printout near the transaction window, very low much below the signboards of other airlines. I reached the counter at 8.05am.

I was late by a few minutes but for no fault of us. I asked for the printout of the ticket. The people manning the counter refused!! saying that we were late! We explained the signboard problem and how it

turned out that we were late by a few minutes - for no fault of ours. But all our pleas and extreemly rudely rejected. The counter was manned not by the GoAir airline staff but some contract staff representing them. One contract person Mr. Sebastian Xavier was specially rude even to my wife and crying son. The ticket printout is right of passenger booked with the airline, which they refused us.

The security people wont allow my wife and son inside without printout and these contract workers

wont give us the printout.

Finally despite we begging they did not give us printout of the ticket and delayed us, so we missed the flight. The check-in time of the last passenger who boarded the same flight was 8:15am!! So we were

actually well within time!! We reched the Airport at 7:45am and including the time to get the printout in normal circumstances (say an exaggerated 15min), my wife would have reached the check-in queue by

8am. The delay caused by searching for the airline counter was entirely GoAir's fault.

We had to bear the trauma of crying child and delayed travel-plans, but when finally the GoAir personnel

appeared at their counter (replacing the contract staff) they told us we (my wife and son) would be considered as "no show" passengers and hence wont be given any refund or ticket postponement at all!!

We pointed out that "no show" was not our fault was entirely GoAir's and their contract staff's fault but

they GoAir people did not head to any plea.

We felt this not putting the signboard was a simply a trick to delay the passengers so that can be robbed off their money. I think the airline GoAir must penallized severely for causing us trauma of

cancelling the prearranged travel plans and and resorting to very cheap trick to rob us of our Rs5000/-

Also for being rude to us.
