I had purchased Godrej Microwave in Dec with a capacity of 30 litres for 1 year warranty period. Ever since I purchased the machine, I have had trouble with it. Firstly, when the company person who came for demo was inefficient in giving a proper usage instructions and later on when we had problems using the programs which would not function properly. We had problems 2-3 times during warrant for which we had to call the engineers for service. After the warranty period we had some major problems using the cooking programs in the microwave and every time the company engineer came for service, temporarily fix the problem, finally asked us to change the program board, which would cost almost 1/2 price of the machine. this is ridiculous amount and In which I can as well buy a new one. On top it I had to shell out Rs.350 every time the service engineer would come, only to further damage the machine and ask to replace the parts. No better alternatives are provided at a cost effective price. It has been a horrible experience for us dealing with inefficient services from Godrej.
We were told that most parts for the Godrej Microwave come from China and get assembled here. It is pity that company like Godrej are selling cheap appliances under brand only to bring a bad name for the trust they built for more than 30-40 years. I would request the company authorities to either to provide good services hiring good & efficient engineers or else not sell such cheap appliances.
